Tools used: Structured FrameMaker

Purpose: I used Structured FrameMaker to create a user manual featuring concepts, tasks, and references as well as elements that define the prerequisites (shortdesc), context (context), steps (taskbody, steps, step, cmd, choices, choice, p), on-screen elements (menucascade, uicontrol), and results (stepresult, result).

  • Navigational Elements

    • Link and integrate human-centric navigational elements including cross-references to notes, glossaries, and tables.

  • Single Sourcing Elements

    • Integrate keyrefs, keyword, and conditions for single sourcing and information reuse and easy navigation.

  • DITA map

    • Develop a DITA map by inserting elements topicref, mapref, topicset, keydef, and topicsetref

  • DITA book

    • Organize contents using a DITA book
